My values are rooted in the absolutism of visual contrast, yet I constantly aim to unravel the nuanced facets of light, shape, color, composition & gesture.

After years of building shapes in pen and ink, I find myself being more recently drawn to an old flame. The sultry and renegade- themes I’m rediscovering can only be courted within the realms of paint and color. While I’ve always craved contrast, my subjects fall softly in the middle ground of everyday life. I revere the masonry of the past and desire to be connected to objects within the home, nature, and culture. While I find comfort in familiar themes, I’m continuing to develop my weapon for a deeper purpose- to bring light and meaning to the world around me, to bolster stories of the unheard and disenfranchised, and expand my impact for good.
